Whenever we get massive quantities of orders for flowers when someone dies, we always try to suggest that we hold the order for a week or two OR even offer to do a flower subscription.
When we lose someone not only are we numb and overwhelmed but when the grief truly sets in, all the flowers have died along with our loved one and there is nothing left but too many cards that say "reach out if you need anything".
I don't know about you but I suffer in silence. I am not good at asking for help. I also start to feel like everyone already did their "part" by sending flowers, so I don't want to ask any more of them.
Flowers are so healing and personal to each person. They strike memories with their appearance and smell. They can also just give comfort to be around, especially on a gloomy grief-filled day.
